The Aquis Date is equipped with the groundbreaking in-house automatic movement of the Caliber 400. This caliber was developed by Oris according to the pillars of the new standard: five days of power reserve, a stable rotor system, an increased level of anti-magnetism and 10 years Guarantee.
Oris engineers realize that we no longer wear the same watch every day. But if you don't wear a standard mechanical watch, the energy reserve decreases and the watch comes to a standstill. That had to be different! That's why Caliber 400 has a five-day power reserve.
The Aquis therefore continues to run if you are not wearing the watch for a while. This longer service life is due to two barrels. Both vessels house an extended mainspring. This allows each barrel to store 2.5 days of power reserve. This unique technique makes the Oris Aquis Date even more special!
Eliminating problems was a fundamental ambition of Oris when developing Caliber 400. And Oris has succeeded! Oris' engineers determined that the ball-bearing system is one of the most common causes of problems.
That is why Oris has completely removed the ball bearing and replaced it with a low-friction plain bearing system. A metal pin runs through a lubricated sleeve. This system is much less complex, is highly efficient and involves less wear and tear.
Most Swiss watches become magnetized when exposed to strong magnetic forces. Unfortunately, magnetic fields have a negative influence on automatic watches. It makes automatic watches less accurate and can cause them to stop ticking. Oris changes that with Caliber 400!
This thanks to more than 30 non-ferrous and anti-magnetic components, including a silicone escape wheel and a silicone anchor. So watches with the Caliber 400 can be safely exposed to magnetism!
Because nowadays a modern luxury watch must be and must remain reliable, every Oris watch with Caliber 400 has a warranty of more than 10 years.

De service bij Brunott is warm en hartelijk. Je wordt er netjes behandeld. De Oris is een fantastisch horloge. Ik heb een Omega Planet Ocean die qua uurwerk beter is en veel accurater, maar die is ook twee keer de prijs. Als je het prima vindt de tijd af en toe in te stellen dan krijg je van deze klok geen spijt! Let wel op: Hij is groot en past niet snel bij een wat kleiner gebouwd persoon.
