Even without formal training as a jeweler, Weller Manfred Brassler founded the company "Watch People" with Klaus Botta in 1989. This new adventure initially focused primarily on the manufacture of quartz watches. Yet Brassler sold the company as early as 1999, in his search for the opportunity to focus on creating higher-quality mechanical timepieces.

The year 2001 marked a new turning point with the creation of MeisterSinger, a direct result of Brassler's renewed interests. The name of the brand was deliberately chosen, to draw a parallel with the title given in the Middle Ages to German singers who discovered new melodies and elements. This association with creativity and discovery reflected the innovative spirit central to MeisterSingers identity.

This series of events not only shaped a jeweler's career, but also created a story of passion, craft and pursuit of excellence in the world of high-end watches.
