Description

MeisterSinger often has a flair for the unusual in designing his single-hand watches and the Perigraph, which also features a date display. The nicely balanced date ring rotates freely around the center of the dial. A small arrow at 12 o'clock points to the current date, which advances one step each day at midnight. This analog display of the date corresponds to the circular time display and offers just as good an overview.

This watch has won many awards! The Red Dot design award in 2009, Good Design Award in 2009, German Design Award in 2010 and Watch of the Year 2012.

The history of Meistersinger

The special Meistersinger brand was founded in 2001 and is known for its elegant and functional watches with only one hand.

Founder Manfres Brassler wanted to create a classic quality watch that gives the impression that all contemporary hectic and busyness has come to a halt.

The unique shape and style of these Meistersinger watches appeals to the imagination of many watch lovers. A good reason to dive deeper into the history of Meistersinger.

In the Middle Ages, many clocks had only one hand. As a result, the time cannot be read to the second, and this creates the feeling that time is slowing down. Based on this principle, Brassler developed the first model in the collection, the Meistersinger N°01. Despite the fact that there is only one hand, the time is still easy to read. The layout of the dial makes the watch unique.

How does a Meistersinger work?

The space between the hour indices are divided into five-minute chunks.

The quarter-hour indices are longer than the five-minute indices. Because the pointer is sharpened in a sharp point, it is possible to read the time accurately to within five minutes.

The Perigraph models are a true MeisterSinger icon. All the aesthetic principles that characterize the entire collection to this day are reflected in its design: The functional typography with its complete set of double-digit hour numerals, the circumferential five-minute divisions and, above all, the single, needle-like hour hand. The Perigraph received a Red Dot Design Award.
