Caliber 4R38

The 4R38 Seiko caliber is an automatic caliber. The watch automatically charges itself during wear by converting the wearer's arm and wrist movements into energy. Movement of the watch causes the mainspring of the watch to wind. This spring is the source of energy. Manual winding is also possible. When the watch is fully charged, it has an energy reserve of approx. 41 hours. The tick rate of this automatic is 21,600 per hour and the watch has 24 jewels. The 4R caliber is manufactured entirely in-house.

A mechanical watch functions without a battery and has a greater deviation than Quartz, Kinetic or Spring Drive watches. For example: -15/+25sec per day.
