    Tissot horloge - Brunott Juwelier

    Tissot watch

The Swiss watch brand Tissot watches was founded in 1853 in the town of Le Locle in the Jura Mountains in Switzerland. In the following century, the company achieved international recognition with its pocket watch, called Savonette. Even when the wristwatch became popular in the early twentieth century, Tissot managed to draw attention to its watches time and time again. The “Banana Watch” from 1916 and the first Art Deco style watches (1919) are still regarded as style icons of that era. Tissot watches have also always distinguished themselves in the technical field: the first anti-magnetic watch (1930), the first mechanical plastic watch (Astrolon, 1971) and the T-Touch (1999) with touchscreen all illustrate Tissot's extraordinary ability to unusual and modern solutions.

    Tissot watches - Swiss made

Tissot is now owned by the Swatch Group and the company serves as the group's entry-level brand with its extensive range of quartz watches and affordable mechanical watches. From the 2011 Seastar 1000 collection for divers to the T-Pocket series, the brand basically reaches out to everyone. The Sailing Touch, a watch that provides sailors with a huge amount of much-needed information, was presented at Baselworld 2010. The Couturier chronograph line features the new ETA chronograph caliber C01.211. This caliber contains a number of plastic parts: another step in simplifying and making mechanical movements affordable.
