The 5 represents the 5 essential features of the Seiko Sports 5: automatic caliber, day-date display at the 3 o'clock position, water resistance, an embedded crown at the 4 o'clock position and a solid case and strap.

The unmistakable Seiko Sports 5 design is reflected in the shape of the case and strap. The case is compact and available in different high-quality materials, such as steel or titanium. Thanks to these high-quality materials, it is scratch-resistant. Ideal for sporty watch lovers! Moreover, the case of the Seiko 5 Sports watches is hand-polished with Seiko's unique Zaratsu technique. This gives the Seiko Sports 5 watches a luxurious appearance! Furthermore, the case features curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflection coating on the inside. The anti-reflection coating increases legibility from any viewing angle and eliminates 99% of all reflections. Automatic movement 

Gone are the days of constantly changing batteries! This is because the Seiko Sports 5 watches feature an automatic movement. This means that the watches charge themselves automatically while being worn. Arm and wrist movements of the wearer cause the mainspring to be wound up. The mainspring then converts this into energy. Once charged, the watch has a power reserve of about 40 hours. It is also an option to manually wind the watch.
