De geschiedenis van het Ebel-horloge begint in 1911, toen het merk werd opgericht door Aletta Francoise Frédérique Stas-Bax en Peter Constant Stas, een Nederlands echtpaar. Het bedrijf vestigde zich in het Zwitserse stadje La Chaux-de-Fonds en haalde zijn inspiratie voor de naam uit de initialen van hun overgrootouders - "Eugène Blum Et Lévy." Dit vormde de basis voor het iconische merk Ebel. Het merk had vanaf het begin een sterke focus op innovatie en uitmuntendheid in horlogeontwerp.

Gedurende de jaren ontwikkelde Ebel zich tot een bepalende speler in de horlogewereld.
