The Seiko caliber V115 is a solar watch. Seiko Solar uses an ultra-efficient sthey are cell that is able to create energy from all kinds of light, not just sunlight. This energy is stored in a very small rechargeable battery that lasts many times longer than conventional batteries. The timepiece is protected against overcharging. This makes the watch virtually maintenance-free. When fully charged, caliber V115 has a power reserve of 12 months. Seiko Solar is one of the most appealing points within Seiko's Clean Energy Concept.
