This rating is the result of the extremely high standards that Seiko has set itself for the design, manufacture and testing of diver's watches.
Automatic movement
A mechanical watch automatically charges itself when worn by converting the wearer's arm and wrist movements into energy. Movement of the watch causes the mainspring of the watch to be wound. This spring is the energy source.
Caliber 8L35
The 8L35 Seiko caliber with date display is a mechanical caliber. The watch automatically charges itself when worn by converting the wearer's arm and wrist movements into energy. Movement of the watch causes the mainspring of the watch to be wound. This spring is the energy source. Hand winding is also possible. When the watch is fully charged, it has an energy reserve of approximately 50 hours. The tick number of this automatic is 28,800 per hour and the watch has 26 jewels. The 8L caliber is manufactured entirely in-house.
