In the Metris model, the typical features of MeisterSinger watches, the needle-shaped hand and the double digits to indicate the hours, are complemented by a round, enlarged date window. The main thing that distinguishes the Metris from the other models is the dynamically shaped case and the conical sides.
The stainless steel case of the Metris is water resistant to 20 bar and its oval integrates the crown protector, making the watch extra robust.
With its 38 millimeter size, it can be worn as casually and carefree as your favorite jeans. The Metris is powered by a Swiss automatic caliber. It features a domed sapphire crystal and a steel back secured with six screws.
The history of MeisterSinger
The special brand MeisterSinger was founded in 2001 and is known for its elegant and functional watches with only one hand.
Founder Manfres Brassler wanted to create a classic quality watch that gives the impression that all contemporary hectic and busyness has come to a halt.
The unique shape and style of these MeisterSinger watches appeals to the imagination of many watch lovers. A good reason to dive deeper into the history of MeisterSinger.
In the Middle Ages, many clocks had only one hand. As a result, the time cannot be read to the second, and this creates the feeling that time is slowing down. Based on this principle, Brassler developed the first model in the collection, the MeisterSinger N°01. Despite the fact that there is only one hand, the time is still easy to read. The layout of the dial makes the watch unique.
How does a MeisterSinger work?
The space between the hour indices are divided into five-minute chunks.
The quarter-hour indices are longer than the five-minute indices. Because the pointer is sharpened in a sharp point, it is possible to read the time accurately to within five minutes.
