Description

The Bell Hora model breathes new life into an almost forgotten complication, the "Sonnerie au passage". Exactly on the hour, the watch strikes a friendly signal, warning the wearer of the passing of time without having to look at the dial. Unlike church bells, the Bell Hora only chimes once and tells the wearer that a new hour has just arrived.

With a push button above the crown (at 2 o'clock) the bell of the Bell Hora can be easily turned off. A black marking shows at a glance whether the watch will chime on the hour or whether it will remain silent.

Great emphasis has been placed on a high recognition value. The needle-shaped pointer, the double-digit numbers and the fine-lined index structure ensure this. And that's perfectly true of the Bell Hora, despite the dial's spiral geometry, which not only seems to comment on the passage of time, but at the same time provides an intuitive overview of the whole day.

The stainless steel case has a diameter of 43 millimeters, is water resistant to 5 bar and the dial is covered by a domed sapphire crystal. The Swiss automatic movement, with a rotor that provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours, can be viewed through the quadruple screwed glass back. The module is based on a Sellita SW200. Over a 60 minute period, the watch's module collects energy for accuracy. The ingenious device strikes the hour exactly on the sound fork located behind the dial.

The Bell Hora was awarded a Red Dot Design Award.

The history of MeisterSinger

The special brand MeisterSinger was founded in 2001 and is known for its elegant and functional watches with only one hand.

Founder Manfres Brassler wanted to create a classic quality watch that gives the impression that all contemporary hectic and busyness has come to a halt.

The unique shape and style of these MeisterSinger watches appeals to the imagination of many watch lovers. A good reason to dive deeper into the history of MeisterSinger.

In the Middle Ages, many clocks had only one hand. As a result, the time cannot be read to the second, and this creates the feeling that time is slowing down. Based on this principle, Brassler developed the first model in the collection, the MeisterSinger N°01. Despite the fact that there is only one hand, the time is still easy to read. The layout of the dial makes the watch unique.

How does a MeisterSinger work?

The space between the hour indices are divided into five-minute chunks.

The quarter-hour indices are longer than the five-minute indices. Because the pointer is sharpened in a sharp point, it is possible to read the time accurately to within five minutes.
