The history of Seiko began in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in Ginza (district of Tokyo ) to repair and sell timepieces. In 1913, his company produced the first Japanese wristwatch. After which the art of watchmaking evolved to the current high level.
In 2023 , Seiko celebrates the 110th anniversary of the first Seiko wristwatch with a series of memorable commemorative watches. Including a new Prospex dive watch that, like all timepieces in the Seiko Watchmaking 110th Anniversary series, draws inspiration from Seiko's rich history of technology and design.
This watch becomes part of the Save the Ocean series, a collection that expresses Seiko's Prospex mission to preserve the world's oceans for future generations. Seiko Prospex provides financial and other support to selected marine charities.
Seiko collection
The Seiko collection offers a wide collection of luxury men's and women's watches. An attractive combination of beautiful design and innovative watch technology. Seiko is one of the few watch manufacturers in the world capable of manufacturing all watchmaking technologies in-house. The name Seiko is derived from the Japanese " Seikosha " which literally means 'House of Precision'. Since 1881, Seiko has been at the forefront of innovative watches.
