An automatic watch works thanks to the energy of the wearer. It is the wrist movements that make the mechanism work. The Powermatic 80 offers 80 hours of power reserve, enough to keep time accurately even if the watch is not worn for 3 days. A timepiece that is thus innovative and efficient compared to the competition, which generally offers one and a half days of power reserve.

Sapphire glass

The properties that sapphire glass gives to a watch are: extreme shock resistance and good readability of the dial and hands because of its transparency. This material is the most robust after diamond and is used in the luxury watch industry mainly because of its scratch-resistant properties. Sapphire glass can take different shapes allowing different watch designs: flat, domed, concave or ground.

Water resistance

The brand quickly gained international fame, especially in Russia where their watches were popular at the Tsar's court. Tissot is known for its innovations in watchmaking; it introduced the first antimagnetic watch in 1930 and the first touchscreen watch in 1999. In 1930, Tissot merged with Omega, resulting in the formation of the Pre-Swatch Group SSIH, a move that strengthened their position in the watch market. Today, Tissot is part of the Swatch Group and is the official timekeeper of many sporting events.
