EBEL: Beauty Marries Function
The roots of EBEL are in the world's watchmaking country: Switzerland. More than 100 years ago, the watch house EBEL was established there in the small town of Jura by married couple Eugène Blum (EB) et (E) Alice Levy (L). From the slogan "Beauty Marries Function," the watch brand soon belonged to the haute horlogerie and, during World War II, EBEL even became a watch supplier to the British Royal Air Force.
